This item is not dish washer safe.
Please use this as it is intended to ensure longevity and prevent damage.
This is stainless steel so it should not rust under normal conditions however please wash and dry thoroughly. Apply a thin layer of a food safe oil or wax such as mineral oil, butcherblock oil, or a food safe wax. Wipe away excess. The product I use is called Axe Wax. I do not use vegetable oil or peanut oil for health and safety concerns.
